Huahua's spacethe way to Chihuahua April
November 10 San Francisco- Sunset BeachSunset Beach It was my second time to see Pacific Ocean in my life. The first time was that I was in Qingdao, China with my Mom, when I was five. In my memory, it was a clear day. The Ocean was as blue as the sky. Mom held my hand and we faced forward the sun was raising from the Ocean. I asked Mom, “What is the end of the ocean?” Mom smiled and said “that is the edge of the sky.” As a kid, the only thing I know is the ocean must be the biggest thing in the world. For some reasons, I haven’t seen the ocean any more since that time. So, you can imagine how excited I was when I saw Pacific Ocean again in San Francisco. The horizon looked so far all the way and a little bit round and blurry. It looked the same as that in my memory. Facing this infinite space, I felt myself to be so small and insignificant like a piece of sand under my feet. The waves, looking like a white line moved toward the beach smoothly. The closer to the beach, the waves rushed more powerful. Some guys were surfing in the surges; some kids were playing on the beach with their families and dogs. I walked along with my wife hand in hand. We enjoined the California’s sunset and left footprints behind on the sand. Retreating to 25 years ago, Mom held my hand, walking along the sand, and enjoyed the view of the Ocean. Today, I was facing to the same ocean but different place with different person, with different feelings. I suddenly felt I have grown up. The hand holding me to protect me has been replaced by a tender hand to be cared. I am a man with responsibility to take care my families. The Sun was gradually sinking below the ocean. The sunshine dyed the sky and water golden. The clouds by the sunset glow were beautiful blending blue, red to golden. It looked like a water-color painting. Slowly, the sun was moving down to the ocean. The light on the cruiser far a way flickered and gradually disappear from our sight. I hold up my wife and murmured to her “the sun is moving to the other side of the earth, Mom probably is seeing its rising.” |
